Art Fabric by Guerra de la Paz

The Cuban duo Guerra de la Paz turns trash into a funky otherworld.
The Cuban-born design duo, Guerra de la Paz (Alain Guerra and Neraldo de la Paz) live in Miami and have been working together since 1996. They use old discarded clothes and items of daily life to make their sculptures. The results are spectacular.

David LaChapelle : American Jesus

David LaChapelle’s latest exhibition of photographs, a series of digitally-doctored depictions of the late Michael Jackson shown under the provocative rubric “American Jesus,” opened to a packed house at Chelsea’s Paul Kasmin Gallery NYC. The abridged American Jesus exhibition at Paul Kasmin puts extra focus on three photos depicting the late Michael Jackson (well, a lookalike) as Christ and features a striking image of Naomi Campbell as Cleopatra.
A broadly expanded version of the show opens at the Tel Aviv Museum of Art later this month. “It’s going to go on until people don’t want to see it any more, I guess,” LaChapelle said.

At the opening on Tuesday 13th
