Pablo Piatti's Fashion Illustrations: A Chinese vignette

In his series "Animals and Accessories," Argentinian artist Pablo Piatti was inspired by traditional Chinese paintings. From the pairing of the animals with the accessories, including the calligraphy, everything was created with exquisite details. The resulting illustrations are these unique and enchanting visions that will catch the attention of any viewers.

Pablo Piatti was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina. He was 21 years old when he decided to quit art school and travel to Europe. Growing up among nature and animals, Piatti's world is filled with imagery, music, books, and nature. The series "Animals and Accessories" is currently featured in Metal Fashion Magazine.

Very often in life, we are forced to defined ourselves, or pushed by others to conform to stereotypes and titles. As a creative person working in the fashion industry for many years, I try to do the opposite, letting creativity flow freely.
~~ Pablo Piatti

Fashion on the Dance Floor

Invariably seeking to blur the lines between the garment and accessory, Bliss Lau the half Chinese and half American designer represents the juxtaposition of culture, design and aesthetic. A graduate from Parsons School of Design, Bliss first launched her handbag collection and later on transitioned the collection into the distinct body-jewelry of today. All of the jewelry is created and designed three-dimensionally using traditional garment draping techniques. For each season, Bliss focuses on a new part of the body to enhance and decorate.

To present Bliss Lau F/W 2011, French photographer Eric Guillemain captures ballerinas performing "le pas de deux"...

Bejeweled Masks

Ghanaian born and Southern California raised, Mimi Plange began her eponymous luxury wear label,  Mimi  Plange, formally known as " Boudoir d'Huitres " in 2007 with a desire to create American Sportswear inspired by Victorian and African historical fashion.

For her stone and Swarovski crystal-encrusted masks, Plange was inspired by African tribal scarifications, elements often used in her work. She loved the idea of costume adornments that are a little less permanent, and wanted to add a modern crystallized twist whether they were functional or not. These exquisite masks are handmade and can be worn for the night with a simple outfit, or hung as art on the wall.

Frida Kahlo Revisited

Italian fashion designer Myriam Bottazzi explores fields that swing from art to design. Her activity can be described as a creative, intimate and instinctive journey. In the world of fashion she designed and produced body ornaments with the Myriam B. brand. The originality of her work has been particularly appreciated by important fashion brands such as Valentino, Maurizio Galante, Gattinoni, Les Copains, Martine Sitbon.
