India Mahdavi for Hotel Thoumieux

It took several months of building work to complete the renovation of this fifteen-bedroom house and to install the specially commissioned furniture, with designs featuring a subtle combination of motifs, colors and warm materials. The hotel's interior was entrusted to the talented India Mahdavi, one of the most fashionable architects of the moment, widely acclaimed for her work at the Connaught in London, the Townhouse in Miami, the Germain in Paris and the Rivington in New York. With a number of inspired touches, the design duo M/M have for their part also continued the creative partnership first initiated at the "Brasserie Thoumieux."

What Jean-Francois Piege, former chef at le Crillon, and Thierry Costes have set out to do here is transpose  the welcoming atmosphere of a traditional country house to an urban environment, while at the same time adding elements of comfort and modernity. The gastronomic restaurant "Jean-Francois Piege" was awarded two stars by the Michelin Guide in March 2011. Today, new heights have been attained as the Hotel Thoumieux opens its doors to the public.

A weekend in Montmartre at " Hotel Particulier "

A jewel case located in the picturesque neighborhood of  Montmartre, this former Parisian townhouse converted into a five-suite boutique hotel is one of the city's most stylish place. Surrounded by an exceptional garden landscaped by the architect Louis Benech and a turn-of-the-century petanque court, the Hotel Particulier Montmartre echoes the transformation of the Chateau de Bionnay into an artist's residence and exhibition space created by interior designer and owner Morgane Rousseau.

At the hotel, works of art and collectibles objects are an integral part of the suites, lobbies and salons. Inside this vast Directoire style house, all the suites are adorned with large scale artwork by artists such as Martine Aballea, Natacha Lesueur, and Pierre Fichefeux.

In the Salon Prive, the windows outlined in black lacquer, frame the gardens beyond. The room is furnished with exceptional and rare pieces like an Arne Jacobsen egg chair, the famous Barcelona by Mies van der Rohe or pieces by Le Corbusier ...

Room with a view at Palazzina Grassi

A former aristocratic fifteenth-century palazzo on the Grand Canal is the canvas for French designer Philippe Starck's first Italian design hotel. The designer's mark is apparent throughout the hotel: baroque couches, a nod to Fornasetti, multicolored hallways, dripping chandeliers. More dazzling are the 26 white minimalist guest rooms and suites, with their huge mirrors and table lamps decorated with venetian masks. The Palazzina Grassi is a showplace with its superb collection of flamboyant glass sculptures and lamps by Murano artist Aristide Najean, its unique artworks and antique pieces.

Housed in a French-Style mansion, the hotel offers all the luxury accommodations, such as personal chef, Frette linens, modern design furniture, ebony wood floor, lavish bathrooms and more. The rooftop features a pool and a Vinotherapie spa (see L'Ile aux Oiseaux), a relaxation technique using organic products from Algodon's wine estate in Mendoza.
